Alan Bean, the fourth man to walk on moon died at 86
Former US astronaut Alan Bean, the fourth man to walk on the Moon died in Texas at the age of 86. His family said that he was ill and died peacefully at a hospital in Houston. Alan Bean went into space in November 1969 as lunar module pilot on Apollo 12 Moon-landing mission and in 1973 as commander of the second crewed flight to America’s first space station, Skylab.
