SpinLaunch plans for a fossil fuel free rocket
The Silicon Valley startup SpinLaunch has proposed to launch rockets using ground-based electricity instead of traditional fossil fuel which costs hundreds of thousands of dollars for a single launch. Details about the technology and electricity consumption hasn’t been released. CEO Jonathan Yaney anticipates higher levels of cost reduction and multiple rocket launches per day. The first launch of rockets by SpinLaunch is planned for 2022.
