NASA terminates lunar rover mission
NASA has aborted its last lunar rover mission, the Resource Prospector which was designed for research on human life sustenance on the moon. Insufficient project funding and commercial exploration plans are cited to be the termination causes. The decision was met with disdain from Lunar Exploration Scientists who have appealed for reconsideration. According to NASA, components of the rover are to be employed in future commercial exploration missions.
