A Cuba operated airliner with 104 passengers crashes in Havana
A Cuban-operated airliner headed to the eastern city of Holguin with 104 passengers and nine crew members crashed into a cassava field just after takeoff from Havana’s international airport on Friday. Mass casualties are suspected as Cuban officials said that only three people survived. Government officials including President Miguel Diaz-Canel have rushed to the site. The crash was Cuba’s third major fatal accident since 2010 and national mourning until May 20 has been declared.
