Islamic State is surrendering in Syria’s capital

Damascus

According to reports from Syria, the radical militant group Islamic State has withdrawn from a fight over capital Damascus and has surrendered, following an offensive attack launched by President Bashar Assad’s forces. Cease-fire has been reported between government forces and Islamic State militants in the southern neighborhoods of Damascus for 24 hours. Also, buses carrying IS fighters left the Palestinian refugee camp of Yarmouk and the adjacent neighborhood overnight.
