Canada’s largest refinery reports a massive explosion at one of the most critical sources of fuel for the U.S.A market. The explosion shook the neighborhood around the Irving Oil refinery, but the effect was not clear on what facilities at the plant were impacted. Typically, the plant has the capacity to refine 320,000 barrels per day of petroleum products and more than half of that supply is what Irving Oil exports to the U.S.
