Last person from the 19th Century passed away at 117

Nabi Tajima

Nabi Tajima, the world’s oldest known person died in Japan leaving behind the posterity of 160 members. Born on August 4, 1900, at Kikai in Japan, the last survivor of the 19thcentury gave up the title to 116-year old Chiyo Miyako before the Guinness World Records could do its honours. Being a hard worker and a mother of nine children, the super-centenarian owed her longevity to good eating and sleeping.
