US postpones decision of imposing tariffs on steel imports
The United States has offered temporary exemption from tariff imposition on steel and aluminum imports from the European Union, Canada and Mexico. US government considers levying tariffs on imports as a measure of impeding imports and supporting in-country metal manufacturers. Discontinuance of the exemption will be met with retaliatory actions from the EU and China. Negotiations are in process but a permanent agreement isn’t hoped for, at present.
