WhatsApp founder to leave after clashes with Facebook

WhatsApp founder Jan Kaum has fallen out of terms with the parent company Facebook over issues of personal data usage. Consequently, he plans to exit Facebook’s board of directors. Facebook’s advertising model and its infringement into user’s data have left him displeased. It is to be noted that Facebook was fined $122 million by the European Union’s regulatory authority for misleading statements when it took over WhatsApp last year.
