Pakistan stops US diplomat from leaving the country
Pakistan has prevented Col Joseph Emanuel Hall, a US diplomat from leaving the country after he allegedly killed a motorcyclist by driving through a red light. He was denied clearance when the US sent a plane to collect him. US officials claim that he cannot be arrested or tried because of his diplomatic immunity which the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has refused. Neither the US nor Pakistan has officially commented on the issue.
