Michigan State University to pay $500 million to Larry Nassar’s abuse victims
Michigan State University has agreed to pay $500 million to former team doctor Larry Nassar’s sexual abuse victims. It is stipulated that $425 million will be distributed to the 332 victims who are mostly female gymnasts. As part of the deal, Nassar was sentenced to 175 years in state prison. Lawsuits were also filed against USA Gymnastics, the U.S. Olympic Committee and a local gym where Nassar worked.
