China’s Public Security Minister Zhao Kezhi, stated on Monday that Meng is being investigated for his bribery accusations. In a translation by the associated press, Zhao expressed the immense damage Meng Hongwei has caused to the country’s public security. The case provoked the Interpol to send an official request to china to clarify the legal status of its president. A day later, the Interpol said it had received Meng’s resignation letter.
