No Nobel Prize for Literature in 2018 due to sexual assault allegations
The Nobel Prize for Literature will not be awarded this year due to resignations, financial malpractice and sexual misconduct allegations in connection to the Swedish academy that picks the Nobel Laureates. Few members of the academy resigned last month protesting the academy’s decision to retain Katarina Frostenson, an academy member married to Jean – Claude Arnault, a cultural figure in Sweden against whom allegations were made. The academy is expected to work towards credibility restoration.
