Guatemala follows US, opening an embassy in Jerusalem
Following the United States, Guatemala has opened an embassy in Jerusalem on Wednesday. Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended the inauguration. Guatemala was one of the nations that supported US President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and is the second country to move its embassy to the city.
